Every year my family donates some old clothes and canned goods to a charity and sometimes we also give money. My mom always tells us that it is also important to give and to help people who are in need. My mom also volunteers in our church and sometimes my sister and I tags along. There are so many people who need help and if you have the sources or capability to help, it is very important to help them.

My friends also give to charities and one of my friends organized a program last month. All the proceeds went to a local charity. Helping others makes me happy. One of my cousins loves to sing and she is a member of the church choir. One day I went to her place and she was checking out a website. The website is called singforhope.com. My cousin is very interested in becoming a volunteer so she is researching about Sing for Hope. She also wants to donate for charity. My cousin has a soft heart and helping others makes her happy. Whenever she has free time, she volunteers in the community. I really admire my cousin. She asked me if I want to go with her if I have free time. I told her that if I am free, I will be joining her with her volunteer work. She told me that she will be volunteering in a charity on Saturday, unfortunately I have an appointment so maybe next time, I am going with her. I really like my cousin.
